The desk set made of burnished brass is one of the handsomest it has ever been our privilege to see.

Mr. Boller should take great pride in the best wishes of his former subordinates for his success in his new undertaking and the evidence of their appreciation of him as a superior.

Daily Trade Record of New York Says:

New York - C. V. Boller - Montgomery Ward & Co., of Chicago, in their magazine entitled "Among Ourselves," pays the following high tribute to C. V. Boller, who is now manager of the overcoat and raincoat department being installed by A. L. Werner & Co.:

"On Jan. 1 1906, Mr. Claude V. Boller goes to New York to engage in the clothing manufacturing business, having taken an interest in a well established firm in the city, Mr. Boller entered the employ of Montgomery Ward & Co. about 10 years ago as assistant under Mr. French, then the manager of the clothing division his special work being to organize and superintend a tailoring department for men.

"Mr. French left the house two years later and Mr. Boller succeeded him as head of both Divisions W. (clothing, hats and gloves) and V. (tailoring for men). Under his adminstration the gross sales and net profits have largely increased until, instead of being one of the smallest money makers in the house, these divisions are now in the front rank, and we can assign no better reason for this than the strong individuality and stick-to-it-iveness of Mr. Boller who leaves behind him the friendship of many fellow workers in Montgomery Ward & Co. regiment and carries the best wishes of all for his future sucess. And success it will surely be, for men of the Boller stamp know no such word as failure."

Edwin E. Wheeler has succeeded Mr. Boller as manager of Division W. with Montgomery Ward & Co. He has been with the house for nine years, and began as head stock clerk, filling various positions until he became assistant manager and now manager of the department.

</text>
